Checks to be performed before commissioning

Keep the machine clean from foreign materials (debris, tools, various objects) that could damage it or cause damage to the
operator.
Make sure that the cardan is mounted correctly on both the tractor power jack and the machine shaft.
Verify that the cardan shaft is superimposed for at least 1/3 third of the advance in the extended position.
Ensure that the hydraulic hoses are correctly engaged with respect to the color recognition code and remember that their
inversion causes movements opposed to those commanded.
Make sure the protections are in perfect order, that they can move freely and that the fastening chains are not under stress
when the machine is fully raised or lowered.
Verify that in the continuous working position, the cardan shaft does not over an angle of 20 ° in relation to the alignment of
the tractor power socket.
Make sure the cardan does not touch the tractor power outlet protection, transmission group shaft guard, or other machine
parts.
Any operation concerning the cardan or power outlet must be carried out with the engine of the stopped tractor, the ignition
key switched off and the power take-off shaft in stop position.
The operator must wear safety shoes, safety gloves, safety helmets and safety goggles during the period of use, maintenan

ce, repair, roadside or storage of the machine to protect against falling objects or projections due to operation of the car. The
clothing of the operator must be as close to the body as possible.
Never use large clothing or flaming clothing.
If iron or similar materials twist the rotor, try to release it manually (wear safety gloves) or with the help of shears. Do not
attempt to reverse the rotation direction of the rotor.
Do not allow anyone to get on the tractor or on the car. Do not do any operation if a person is near or on the machine. Do not
allow anyone to approach, especially children.
Check the machine periodically, inspect the bolts in general, damaged or broken parts, pinched or broken cables, loose fittin

gs, or too much play. Make sure all pins are properly locked. Always keep the machines perfectly clean and free from objects.
Immediately clean stains of oil or other flammable materials to avoid fire hazard.
Serious wounds may result from these maintenance negligence.
Do not continue to use the machine if a knife is lost or deteriorated, causing vibration. Refer to the instruction manual for the
prescribed chapter and replace it. Always replace a knife at the same time as the opposite one on the rotor. Always select the
rotor stop position before removing the shaft from a power outlet on a fully independent power take-off tractor.
