On/off switch (

This switch is used to turn on and off the TomoScan FOCUS LT.

This marking on the back panel indicates that the internal AC power supply is not 
disconnected from the AC source when the unit is turned off using the front panel 
on/off switch (

). To disconnect the AC source, first disconnect the power cord from 

the AC outlet, and then disconnect the power cord from the back of the instrument. 
Failure to do so can cause electric shocks.

Handles

Two handles are located on each side of the front panel. They are used to disassemble 
and reassemble the unit.

The front panel handles should not be used to carry the TomoScan FOCUS LT. 
Because the handles were not designed to transport the instrument, they may break 
off.

Front panel protective bumper

The rubber bumper shown in Figure 1-2 on page 20 protects the front panel 
components.
