Setting the metering region
If the observation objects are scattered on the screen, the full screen
may be too bright or too dark due to the influence from the background
area excluding observation objects. This case may be improved by
changing the metering region.
Normally, the metering region is 30% of the entire image.
Select the [Acquisition] tab A .
If the setting items of [Camera] are not displayed, press B to open
them.
Select following items from the list of [Region] C to change the
metering region.

[Spot 0.1%]
Metering is performed using the area of 0.1%
of the entire image.
[Spot 1%]
Metering is performed using 1% of the entire
image area.
[Spot 30%]
Metering is performed using the area of 30%
of the entire image.
[Entire image]
Metering is performed using the entire image
area.
You can move the metering region position by placing the
mouse pointer in the frame where [Exposure] is displayed on
the live image and dragging the metering region.
Pressing the [Center Spot on Image] button D allows you to
return the metering region position to the center of the image.
When the exposure mode [Auto] is selected
