3 Pre-observation/pre-operation preparation and inspection
„ Using the AC adapter
After connecting the AC power cord to the AC inlet of the AC adapter, connect the plug of the AC
power cord to the AC adapter terminal on the main unit.
Next, connect the plug of the AC power cord securely to the power outlet.
„ Charging the battery
• When the AC adapter is connected, turning off the power starts charging of the battery.
(Charging is not performed when the power is on.)
• The light of the power indicator appears blinking when charging is in progress.
• If you want to stop charging halfway, disconnect the AC adapter.
• The light of the power indicator goes off when charging is complete.
• Disconnect the AC adapter when the battery is fully charged.

(approx. 1 to 2 seconds) Unable to charge battery as the surrounding temperature is
too low or too high.
Charge the battery in an environment with a temperature
between 0 to 40ºC.
Light blinks at a high speed
(continuous) Unable to charge due to communication error with the
battery.
→ Check whether the battery terminal is dirty.
→ Check whether a battery other than the specified item is
used.
If the problem persists, it could be due to deterioration of the
battery.
Replace the battery with a new item.
