Security Settings
You should set your own individual PIN code and phone lock password.
You can deactivate the request for your PIN from the SIM card if so re
quired. The risk here is, should you lose your mobile phone, the data
stored on it could be misused by third-parties and subsequent costs could
be charged to you.
When you change your PIN or phone lock password, we urgently recom
mend that you note down the new PIN or phone lock password and keep it
where it cannot be accessed by third-parties.
Switching the PIN prompt on/off
1. Select

Securitysettings
SIM1lock

2. Enter your PIN. The PIN request is switched on or off.
The standard PIN is contained with the documents provided with the SIM
card.
Changing the PIN
1. Select
Settings
Securitysettings
Changepassword
SIM1PIN
.
2. Enter the PIN code and press the
Call
key.
The standard PIN is contained with the documents provided with the SIM
card.
3. Enter the new PIN code and press the
Call
key.
4. Enter the new PIN code again and press the
Call
key.
Activating the phone lock
1. Select
Settings
Securitysettings
Phonelock
.
2. Enter the phone lock password and press the
Call
key. The
phone lock is activated or deactivated.
In its default setting, the phone lock password is
1234
.
The phone lock is also active when there is no SIM card inserted in the
mobile phone.
