Multi-tap
When the mobile phone is initially supplied,
Multitap de
(German) is set.
Change the text input method by pressing the
key, several times if
necessary. You can save your preferred text input method on a permanent
basis.
Open the
Settings
Phonesettings
Pref.inputmethods
menu option and select the
input method you want.
In order to enter text in multi-tap mode, press the key labelled with the cor
responding letter/character. The letters/characters assigned to a key are
imprinted on the respective key.
The
key, for example, is used to enter the digit
4
or the letters
G
,
H
and
I
.
If the first character of the group is required, press the key once. If the sec
ond character is required, press it twice, and so on.
To enter two characters assigned to the same key, press the key the re
spective number of times to enter the first character. Wait until the cursor
skips to the next position and then enter the next letter.
Punctuation and special characters
Check that you are in Edit mode and the press the
key.
Punctuation marks and special characters are displayed. Use the naviga
tion keys
(up or down) to move to the required character and then
press the
Call
key to accept it.
Repeatedly pressing
in Edit mode scrolls through a list of frequently
used punctuation and special characters.
Other entries and functions
Press the
key to enter a space.
Press the
On-hook
key to delete characters entered.
Press and hold the
On-hook
key for 2 seconds to delete all the char
acters.
