Areas with a potentially explosive atmosphere are often, but not always, clearly marked. They include below deck on boats, chemical
transfer or storage facilities, vehicles using liquefied petroleum gas (such as propane or butane), areas where the air contains chemicals
or particles, such as grain, dust, or metal powders, and any other area where you would normally be advised to turn off your vehicle
engine.
Specific absorption rate (SAR)
YOUR MOBILE DEVICE COMPLIES WITH REGULATIONS FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES. Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and
receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves (radio frequency electromagnetic fields) adopted by the
Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Council of the European Union (CE). These limits include a substantial safety
margin designed to assure the safety of all persons, regardless of age and health.
The radio wave exposure guidelines use a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit of The
United States is 1.6 W/kg. The SAR limit of Europe is 2.0 W/kg. Device types Olipad Smart has also been tested against this SAR limit.
The highest SAR value reported under this standard during product certification for use on the body is 1.082 W/kg. This device was
tested for typical body-worn operations with the back of the device kept 0.5cm from the body. To maintain compliance with RF
exposure requirements, use accessories that maintain a 1.5cm separation distance between the user’s body and the back of the device.
The use of belt clips, holsters and similar accessories should not contain metallic components in its assembly. The use of accessories that
do not satisfy these requirements may not comply with RF exposure requirements, and should be avoided.
The World Health Organization has stated that present scientific information does not indicate the need for any special precautions for
the use of mobile devices.
They recommend that if you are interested in further reducing your exposure then you can easily do so by limiting your usage.
