the distant fax retries as it
could not connect the first
time.
In Setup (Configuration)
choose the following transmis-
sion and reception speeds:
9600 V29 in Fax.
These configurations are prac-
tically obligatory under bad
line conditions or with inter-
national calls.
Problem Oliprint is not listed as a printer
option in my application.
Solution You are using Windows NT3.XX
or 4.XX
Printers are managed diffe-
rently under Windows NT com-
pared with Windows 3.1 , 95 or
98.
The modem is treated as a
printer through the OLIPRINT
driver. Olitec applications are
set up to operate under
Windows 3.1 , 95 or 98.
Under NT faxes can be sent
using Olifax, but not received,
as the OLIPRINT driver cannot
be installed in Windows NT.
For the moment there is no
solution apart from using ano-
ther application to manage the
modem.
Problem There is a message error when
using the remote access under
Windows 95.
Solution Close all other communication
application to free the com
port. Make sure that the correct
modem driver is installed in
the Configuration Panel under
Modems.
If it is not there, add it using
the Olicom diskette.
If it is there, lower the trans-
mission speed (properties
57600 or 38400) or use the
standard 28800 bps modem
driver.
