4 - MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Before proceeding with any maintenance and cleaning,
always make sure the system has been switched off, using
the remote control, and the power supply plug has been
disconnected from the system socket (or the upstream
master isolating switch is positioned at “0” OFF).
To prevent cuts or injury avoid touching the metal parts of the unit when remov-
ing the air filters as they can be sharp.
4.1 - CLEANING
4.1.1 - Unit and remote control cleaning
Use a dry cloth to clean the unit and the remote control (fig. 44). It is possible to use a cloth moistened with
cold water to clean the unit if it is very dirty.
Use between the air intake and discharge grilles (fig. 44).
Do not use a chemically treated or anti-static cloth to clean the unit.
Do not use gasoline, solvent, polish or similar solvents. These products could
deform or break the plastic surface.
4.1.2 - Cleaning the air filter
To ensure effective internal air filtration and satisfactory operation of unit, the air filter has to be cleaned
periodically.
The air filter is at the top of the unit.
Filter removal:
a.
Unplug or disconnect the unit from power.
b.
Switch off the unit and wait for the closure of the supply air flap.
c.
Manually raise the return air grille (3) (fig. 28).
d.
Raise the front part of the filter (F) and slightly pull it towards yourself (fig. 39).
e.
Extract the two additional filters (fig. 40) from the filter group (F): (green purification filter ref. F1 - black
active carbon filter ref. F2).
f.
Perfectly wash and dry all the filters.
Filter reassembly:
g.
Insert the active carbons filter (black) (ref. F2) on the pins located on the front part of the filter (F) (fig.41).
h.
Insert the purification filter (green) (ref. f1) on the pins located on the front part of the filter (F) (fig. 41).
i.
Reassemble the filter (F) by inserting the rear edge inside the grille (fig. 42).
l.
Manually close the return air grille (3) (fig. 43).
In order to remove the
dirty filter
signal, after connecting the unit to the power source, simultaneously press,
for at least 5 seconds, the
Stand-by
and
MODE
buttons located on the control panel (see figure B) to remove
the dirty filter error fault code and the related count is set to zero.
