The display shows the active Pinpointer
screen. You can repeat the ground balance at
any time by pushing the
button. The LED
Orbit can be enabled by pushing the
but-
ton. The visual representation on the screen
is very rough and should not be used to distin-
guish the signatures.
To cancel this operating mode push the
button.
After canceling the Pinpointer mode, the de-
vice also exits the wireless data connection
before returning back to the main menu.
5.2.2 Conducting a Pinpointer Scan
After the data transfer to the computer has been established, you are ready to start your mea-
surement. Hold the Super Sensor correctly during the measurement.
Push the
button to start scanning the underground. Move the Super Sensor slowly from
one side to another above the desired object. Try to capture the complete object, which means
measure beyond the edges of the object. Repeat this measurement a few times to get a clear
signature of the object. During this procedure the Super Sensor should point vertical towards
the ground.
DO NOT
turn, swing or pivot the sensor.
You may push the
button from time to time to repeat ground balancing the metal detector.
To quit the operating mode "Pinpointer" and return back to the main menu, push the
button.
