Are the leading edges of

the documents aligned?

Check the roller-ADF

assembly.

The separation rubber

is dirty?

Replace the separation

rubber.

Align them.

Yes

Definition:

Multiple document feeding.

Multiple documents are not separated and they are fed all at the same time.

Push on the separation

rubber assembly.

Does it return to the

original position?

Yes

Solved?

Clean it.

Check the ADF spring,
the tension arm and the
back-up plate.

Return to section 7.1.1.
