3-3 Attachment of drain hose
Attach the drain hose properly observing the following precautions.
Caution
This product is designed for drain free. Condensate water generated during
operation evaporates and released into the atmosphere blown by the outgoing air.
In case it is used under the following conditions, however, condensate water is not
evaporated but discharged from the drain pipe located at the bottom of the
cooling unit. For this purpose, please attach the drain hose without fail at the
time of installation.
- When the unit is used outside the specified working
temperature/humidity range, i.e. temperatures not exceeding 35 deg.
C and humidity not exceeding 85%RH for both ambient and enclosure interior.
- When the evaporation fin or the evaporation sheet is dirty
- When passing air volume in evaporation mechanism declined due to some
trouble, like clogged suction port on external side, deterioration or failure of
external fan, etc.
- Let a drain hose go directly downward without kinks and windings.
- The free end of a drain hose should be directly downward without bending.
- To prevent a hose from coming off, insert it deep enough to a drain pipe.
- In case the joint of a drain hose and a drain pipe is not tight enough,
use a hose band to fix the joint securely.
- Adjust the hose length so it end does not submerge
in the container.
- Empty the container frequently especially on
humid days.
