1. Safety Information
1.1 General Information
These Operating Instructions are valid for the extruder
pumps of the GE- and GC-series with electrical heating pla­
tes.
They are valid for extruder pumps with different conveying
capacities.
Owing to the variety of different pump versions and due to
further development of construction and design, differences
between the graphical representation in the Operating In­
structions and the pump actually delivered cannot always
be avoided. This does not, however, impair the applicability
of the Operating Instructions.
The individual parts the pump consists of have been manu­
factured according to the highest quality requirements with
regard to material, permanence of measures, and surface
quality.
Owing to the high-precision manufacture and the resulting
exactness, the extruder pump should be considered a preci­
sion instrument and should as well be treated like one.
Always take this into consideration when carrying out oper­
ating, servicing, or repair work.
Production-related changes on the external pump surfaces
(e. g. by attaching fastening devices on the processing ma­
chine or the heat treatment plants) have no negative effects
on the quality and are therefore no reason for complaint.
Differences in color of the metallic pump components due to
the heat treatment process also have no negative effects on
the quality and are no reason for claims.
The Operating Instruction are an essential part of the deliv­
ery. It is the operating party's responsibility to make sure
that the operating personnel become acquainted with the
Operating Instructions.
If the equipment is sold to a third party, the Operating In­
structions must accompany the equipment.
The operating instructions of the line in which the extruder
pump is installed must be adhered to.
