Completion and commissioning

11.1  Before initial start-up

The heat pump has no separate ON/OFF switch. In an

emergency, the system must be shut down via the specified

safety device. The safety device must be accessible so that

an emergency shutdown can be performed at any time.

WARNING: Electrocution

The initial start-up of electrical systems is permitted

only in the presence of a qualified contractor.

»

Make sure that no one can be put at risk during the

initial start-up.

»

Make sure that the heat sink system (heating and

DHW heating) has been connected to the heat pump.

»

Make sure that the hydraulic system is filled with

water.

»

Make sure that the electrical installation has been

carried out and completed professionally.

Material damage

Operating the circulation pumps without water in

the system will destroy the pumps.

11.2  Testing the control circuit

Once all the above conditions have been checked, the

control circuit (OTE controller, 230 V AC) can be switched

on so that the individual functions can be tested.

»

Check all the sensors and their values for accuracy.

»

Check all controller outputs used in your hydraulic

system for correct function.

12.  Completion and commissioning

OCHSNER Customer Service or an authorised customer

service partner must be requested to complete and com-

mission the system. Commissioning appointments must

be requested at least 2 weeks in advance.

12.1  Requirements

Before commissioning, the system installer must ensure

the following points:

The design and installation of the system have been

approved by OCHSNER.

The machine-specific engineering and installation

information has been observed (system installed ac-

cording to OCHSNER standard hydraulic schematics

or an OCHSNER special hydraulic system).

The minimum area of clear floor space in the installa

-

tion room for the indoor unit has been observed.

For heat pumps with OTE controller:

 - The system datasheet is available and has

been fully and correctly completed.

For air/water heat pumps:

 - The outdoor unit has been correctly installed

and bolted to the foundation.

 - If there is a snow cover, it has been correctly

installed on the outdoor unit.

1.  The heat sink system is fully ready (heating and

DHW heating).

The hydraulic pipework has been correctly dimen-

sioned and installed so that the required flow rates

can be set.

The heat sink system has been flushed, filled and

vented according to the relevant standards.

System fill water of a quality compliant with the rel

-

evant standards (e.g. VDI 2035) is assured.

The operating pressure has been set (0.8-2.0 bar).

The system temperature or the buffer tem

-

perature must be at least 15°C at the time of

commissioning.

Information

If the minimum system temperature or the buffer

temperature is not achieved, then the refrigerant

charge cannot be set correctly. Non-compliance

with the minimum system temperature or the buff

-

er temperature will lead to commissioning being

cancelled.

»

If necessary, use preheating on site.

The necessary safety devices are in place and

have been adjusted and checked according to sys-

tem requirements.

A DHW tank is present and has been filled for

commissioning.

All shut-off valves have been opened, adjusted

and checked.

The flow meters installed on site have been

checked for correct function.

The system has been hydraulically balanced.

2.  The heat source system has been prepared.

If hydraulic pipework is fitted on the heat source

side, it has been correctly dimensioned and in-

stalled so that the required flow rates can be set.

The necessary safety devices are in place and

have been adjusted and checked according to sys-

tem requirements.

The wall conduit has been properly sealed.
