Fresh Water System
Starting the Water Maker
1. Turn on one of the generators to supply 120v.
2. Turn on the water maker AC Breaker.
3. Verify the seawater intake is open at the through hull
4. Also check the Fresh Water / Salt Water Selector valve is set on Salt
Water, NOT Fresh Water. [See pictures below]
5. Turn High Pressure Bypass Valve (Black Valve) to CLEANING
POSITION (HORIZONTAL)
6. Verify the Cleaning Valve (Gray Valve) is positioned to NORMAL
(VERTICAL)
7. Start the Low Pressure Boost Pump by pressing the LP PUMP push
button.
8. Observe the Brine Flow-meter, to ensure all air and bubbles exited
the system. Low Pressure gauge should read approximately 2-4 PSI.
9. When air bubbles are no longer present in the Brine Flow-meter,
Start the High Pressure Pump by pressing the HP PUMP push
button.
10. Gradually turn the High Pressure Bypass Valve (Black Valve) to
NORMAL (VERTICAL) position (from horizontal).
11. Th
e pressure gauge should rise steadily to a reading of 800 psi.
12. NOTE: When the High Pressure Bypass valve is closed, the salinity
of the initial permeate produced be relatively high and will probably
activate the salinity alarm. Salinity should reduce in 3-5 minutes.
13. Observe water quality monitor. When the digital meter “counts
down” below 500, the monitor will change from a red to a green light
and potable water will fl ow to the tank. Observe product fl ow-meter
for rate of water being produced.
