ingredients or liquid during use, you can do so. Make sure that the ingredients
to be added are not too thick or too heavy for the motor to process. If
necessary, add a little liquid through the lid if the motor is struggling or stop
the mixing process and scrape the mixture toward the blade using a rubber
spatula.
MAKE SURE THAT THE LID AND FILLER CAP ARE BOTH PLACED ON
THE JUG BEFORE RESTARTING THE BLENDER! Never remove the glass
jug from the appliance when the motor is running.
Overheating
If the appliance’s overheating cut-out is activated and the appliance switches
off (before 3 minutes of use): Turn the switch to “OFF” and unplug the
appliance. Wait 30 minutes before restarting the appliance.
Cleaning and maintenance
Clean the jug immediately after use.
• Fill the jug with 1 litre of hot water and 2 to 3 drops of washing-up liquid.
Use only the recommended amount of water and washing-up liquid. Too much
washing-up liquid produces more foam, causing the jug to overflow.
• Run the automatic cleaning programme to wash out the jug.
• Unplug the appliance once the programme is complete.
• Remove the jug.
• Stand it on a flat surface.
• Carefully remove the lid. Pour out the water.
• Remove the blade unit + seal and clean them under running water. The
blades are extremely sharp and should be handled with care to avoid injury.
• Remember to put the seal back correctly on the blade unit after cleaning.
Take care to ensure that the seal does not come into contact with the blades.
• NB: If the seal is not fitted correctly, the ingredients may leak out of the jug.
• Rinse the inside of the jug and the lid under running water. These parts can
be cleaned in a dishwasher.
• Be careful when cleaning the blades inside the jug and when emptying it as
they are sharp. The blade unit must be cleaned by hand, as it is not dishwasher
safe.
• Clean the motor unit with a damp cloth. Wipe it over carefully.
Do not use abrasive cleaning products. Remove any stubborn stains by soaking
and rubbing with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Use a damp cloth when
