Trouble-shooting
Problem
Possible cause
The ice cream is not firm after 15
minutes
-
The ice cream bowl has not been in the
freezer long enough to achieve the best
result. (Leave the bowl in the freezer at
least 8 hours or preferably overnight).

The freezer is not sufficiently cold. The
temperature shall be at least -18 ºC
-
The bowl is overfilled. Max: 320 ml.
-
The ingredients are too hot / have room
temperature.
-
The ice cream bowl has been in room
temperature for more than 5 minutes prior
to use.
-
The freezer has been opened too many
times during the ”freezing process” of the
bowl.
-
The bowl is covered by a thick layer of ice.
REMEMBER to wipe the bowls thoroughly
after washing before putting them back
into the freezer.
The ice cream maker stops before the
ice cream is ready
-
Chocolate chips, crushed nuts etc. were
added too early. The ice should be put in
the ice cream maker for at least 5 minutes
or until the mixture is firm or has begun to
freeze before adding the ingredients.

The chocolate bits, the crushed nuts etc.
are too big, which means that the mixing
paddle gets stuck.

Do not add more than one cup of these
ingredients.
The ice cream bowls have been
scratched
-
Using metal utensils may scratch the ice
cream bowls. We recommend that you use
only plastic or wooden utensils in the ice
cream bowls.
The ice cream is too stiff
-
If the ice cream is kept in the bowls in the
freezer for a while, the ice cream gets very
hard and it can be difficult to take it out of
the bowls. Let the ice cream defrost for a
couple of minutes to become softer.
