If bread gets stuck during toasting, pull the plug from the power socket first and leave the
toaster to cool off. The toaster can be turned upside down and shaken carefully in order to
get the bread out. If unsuccessful you may try to carefully winkle the bread out, but never
use metal tools.
Do not put overly sized pieces of bread into the toaster as they might get stuck. Likewise,
do not put overly sized pieces of bread on the bun toaster as the heat must be allowed to
escape.
The bun toaster
The toaster is equipped with a detachable bun toaster. Use the bun toaster if you wish heat/
toast whole buns or small French bread – please note that the bread must not cover the
whole top of the toaster as the heat must be allowed to escape.
Cord storage
Note that the toaster has room for cord storage in the bottom making the power cord easier
to store when the toaster is not use.
IMPORTANT
: The toaster must never be covered with tin foil or other material when in
use as the hot air must be allowed to circulate along the edge. Any resulting damage to
the unit is not covered by warranty.
Cleaning and maintenance
Allow the toaster to cool off before cleaning. The lever must be placed in top position, and
the plug must be removed from the power socket before cleaning. Bread crumbs gather in
the crumb tray in the bottom of the toaster. Pull out the crumb tray and clean it with a brush
or similar before pushing it back into the toaster. Clean the outer surface using a moist cloth
and wipe over with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using scouring powder or other abrasive cleaners
as these may scratch or dull the unit’s surface.
