Product Description
The gases produced by the decomposition of dead plant material in the water are harmful to the aquatic animals and
plants in the pond. If the pond freezes over completely, these harmful gases cannot escape and and oxygen cannot
enter the water.
The de-icer IceFree Thermo 200/330 prevents the surface of the garden pond from freezing up completely. The size of
the area kept free of ice is determined by the unit capacity and the ambient temperature, irrespective of the size of the
pond.
Unit versions:
• Icefree Thermo 200:
The unit heats permanently, no control via thermal switch.

Icefree Thermo 330:
The integrated thermal switch switches the unit on automatically when the freezing point is reached and off again
when the temperature goes above freezing.

As a result of the locally limited heating of the water and quiet operation of the unit, the natural life cycle of the pond
animals is not disturbed.
• Prevents deeper water layers from cooling down excessively.

Intended use
Only use the product described in this manual as follows:
• Operate in accordance with instructions.
• Use for private purposes only.
The following restrictions apply to the unit:
• Do not use in swimming ponds.
• Never use the unit in fluids other than water.
• Do not use in conjunction with chemicals, foodstuff, easily flammable or explosive substances.
Installation and connection

• Prior to reaching into the water, isolate (swi tch off and disconnect) all units/devices used in the water.

Isolate the device (di sconnect from the power supply) before carrying out any work on it.
How to proceed:


• Place the heating element in the centre of the float.
Note: The heating element can only be inserted into the float in one position.

Place the unit in the water.
• Route the power cord safely. Minimum distance of the power socket from the water: 2 m.
