1. Safety Instructions
1.1 Explanation of terms
The following keywords are used in these user
instructions:
Warning!
High risk: ignoring this warning could
result in a risk to life and limb.
Caution!
Medium risk: ignoring this warning may result
in damage.
Note:
Low risk: points to be noted when handling
the appliance.
1.2 Special information for this
appliance
• Appliance can be used by persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance
in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
• This appliance must not be used by children.
Keep the appliance and its cord away from
children.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or use it
outdoors.
• The appliance is not intended to be operated
by means of an external timer or separate
remote control system.
• Always check food temperature before
feeding.
• Always unplug the unit before cleaning it.
• Under no circumstances use scouring agents
or corrosive or abrasive cleaning materials, as
these could damage the appliance.
1.3 General information
• Please read these user instructions
carefully before use. They are a constituent
part of the appliance and must be kept to
hand at all times.
• Use the appliance only for the purpose
described (see “2.1 Intended purpose“ on
page 14).
• To prevent damage, check that the mains
voltage required (see type plate on the
appliance) is compatible with your mains
voltage.
• Please note that any claim under the
warranty or for liability will be invalid if
accessories are used that are not
recommended in these user instructions,
or if original spare parts are not used for
repairs. This exclusion also applies to
repairs undertaken by unqualified persons.
• Never leave the appliance unsupervised
during operation, so that you can intervene
in good time if it malfunctions.
• After use, disconnect from the power
supply immediately, to avoid the steam
steriliser being turned on accidentally.
1.4 Protection against electric
shock
Warning! The following safety
information is intended to protect you
against electric shock.
• The appliance must not under any
circumstances be used if it is damaged.
Have the appliance repaired in such cases
by a qualified specialist.
• If the mains cable 14 for this appliance is
damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or a person with similar
qualifications in order to avoid a hazard.
• Under no circumstances allow water or
other liquids to get inside evaporation

10 . As a consequence:
– never use the appliance outdoors,
– never submerge it in liquid,
– do not place objects such as pans filled
with liquid on top of it,
– never use it in a very damp environment.
If liquid ever does get into the appliance,
disconnect it from the power supply
