12 Troubleshooting
Problem
Reason
Remedy
Pump does not
work
No power supply
Battery operation: Check that the battery
is adequately charged (see “7.3 Battery
operation (Nature Sense model only)“ on
page 30).
For mains operation: check that the mains
plug and mains adapter are correctly
inserted
External power bank: Check that the
power bank is adequately charged.
Lip valve missing, incorrectly
positioned or damaged
Check that the lip valve is correctly
positioned
If it is damaged, use the replacement lip
valve supplied
Breast milk container is full and
lip valve is already contacting
the expressed milk
Replace breast milk container
No suction or suction level too
low
Check that the lip valve is correctly fitted.
Make sure that the breast shield forms a
complete seal around your breast.
Filter is wet
Remove filter and allow more time to dry
or use dry replacement filter (see
“5.3 Special cleaning of tube and filter“
on page 29).
Pump suction is
weak
Low battery power
Check whether battery power is sufficient
(see “7.3 Battery operation (Nature Sense
model only)“ on page 30)

Suction strength is set too low
Increase the suction strength until you
achieve the best results (see "Setting the
suction strength" on page 31).
Silicone cushion incorrectly
positioned and not properly
flush with the breast shield
Ensure that the silicone cushion is
completely flush with the breast shield
No vacuum can be built up
Ensure that the breast shield is completely
flush with the breast
Filter blocked
Clean or replace filter (see “5.3 Special
cleaning of tube and filter“ on page 29).
Filter is wet
Remove filter and allow more time to dry
or use dry replacement filter (see
“5.3 Special cleaning of tube and filter“
on page 29).
Pump suction too
strong
Suction strength is set too high
Reduce suction strength (see "Setting the
suction strength" on page 31).
