SAFETY NOTICES

This manual contains information that is important 

to know and understand before operating the NSS 

Electro-Mist 4B electrostatic sprayer.  Operators of this 

machine must read this manual. 
Intended use - spray application of commercial        

disinfectants for professional use only.

WARNING

When reading this manual symbols and warning labels 

must be paid attention to.  Warning labels note a     

potentially hazardous situation, that if not avoided, 

could result in serious injury or death.

WARNING

 - Read and fully understand the NSS 

Electro-Mist 4B electrostatic sprayer manual prior to 

using the electrostatic sprayer.
-Read and fully understand the product labels of any 

disinfectant product used with the NSS Electro-Mist 4B 

electrostatic sprayer.
-The NSS Electro-Mist 4B electrostatic sprayer is for 

commercial use only.
-The NSS Electro-Mist 4B electrostatic sprayer must 

never be used in a hazardous enviromment.
-The NSS Electro-Mist 4B electrostatic sprayer must 

never be used in an area containing volatile chemicals.  

It must also not be used in an area containing volatile 

or explosive levels of gas, vapor or particulates.
-The NSS Electro-Mist 4B electrostatic sprayer must 

never be used by untrained personnel.

                                                                               

WARNING

 - Pressurized 

Equipment Hazard.
Fluid from equipment that leaks 

or ruptures from a component can 

splash in the eyes or on the skin and 

cause a serious injury.  In order to 

help prevent a leak or rupture, check 

the hose, tubes, and couplings daily.  

replace anyparts that are worn or 

damaged.

WARNING

 - Plastic Parts 

Cleaning Solvent Hazard.
Many solvents can degrade plastic 

parts and cause them to fail.  This 

can lead to serious injury or prop-

erty damage.  Use only compatible 

water-based solvents to clean plastic 

structural pressure containing parts.

WARNING

 - Fire, Explosion 

and Electric Shock Hazard.
Electrostatic equipment must be 

used only by trained, qualified per

-

sonnel who understand the require-

ments of this manual.
Stop operation immediately if static 

sparking occurs or you feel electric 

shock.  Do not use the machine until 

you’ve identified and corrected the 

problem.
Use and clean the machine in a well-

ventilated area.

Never spray a flammable liquid - 

with a flashpoint less than 140°F 

[60°C].

Do not plug or unplug the battery 

charger cord or turn lights on or off when flammable 

fumes are present.
Keep spray area clear of debris, including solvents, 

rags, gasoline or any flammable chemicals.
Keep a working fire extinguisher in the work area.

Do not touch the metal spray tip in the spray wand 

during use.

WARNING

 - Personal Protective Equipment.

Wear necessary protective equipment while working to 

help prevent serious injury.
Follow the chemical manufcaturer’s SDS sheet on   

personal protection.

NSS Chemical Use Disclaimer

      WARNING: 

Chemical use hazard.  Each 

chemical, such as a disinfectant, has a unique set of 

hazards and needs to be handled properly to ensure 

worker safety.
Read and understand the chemical product’s SDS and 

label prior to use.

Be aware of first aid procedures related to the product 

in use.
It is a violation of Federal law to use a chemical in a 

manner inconsistent with its label.
If using a disinfectant, be sure to follow the chemical 

manufacturer’s instructions regarding dilution, 

coverage and dwell time.
Use personal protective equipment as detailed by 

the chemical product’s SDS.  Excessive exposure to 

disinfectants and other types of chemicals might be 

harmful to one’s health.

For use with non-flammable, non-combustible and 

non-volatile fluids only. Never spray a flammable 

chemical (flash point less than 140°F [60˚C]).

Ensure the area being sprayed has proper ventilation.
To dispose of chemical products, refer to product la-

bels. 

WARNING

 - This machine contains an electro-

static device that may interfere with sensitive medical 

devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, or similar 

devices. DO NOT operate this machine or stand within 

10 feet if you use such medical devices. Contact your 

physician prior to operation if you are unsure if this 

machine will interfere with your medical device.
