HOW TO CINCH THE END OF A FLAT PANEL (FOR MAKING A HAT)
RUNNING OUT OF YARN
HOW TO MAKE MITTENS
After Finishing the end of the flat panel, pull the loose
thread tight and than knot the end.
When you are running out of yarn or you want to
switch colors, please do the following:
With adult supervision cut off approximately 8
inches (20 cm) of yarn from the end and tie a new
color on. Keep turning the crank, slowly at first and
continue to knit.
1. Load the machine as if you were making
a tube and knit 42 rows.
2. It is helpful when counting rows to mark
your first needle on the machine with a
dot using a permanent marker
(not included).
3. Finish your tube using the plastic needle
to secure the top end and remove from the
Knitting Machine. Leave this end open.
4. Pull taut the loose thread at the bottom of
your tube and make a double knot. This
is the top of your mitten where your
fingers will go.
Tie a double knot.
