2 If WinTest is not running, from the Windows Start Menu select Programs, then WinTest 400.
3 From the WinTest 400 Setup menu select the appropriate COM Port from the list. Refer to your PC
operations manual if you are unsure what communication port to select.
4 Put your Main or Remote Unit in the Connect to PC mode as follows:
• Main Unit: Press the Power key to turn on the unit. From the MAIN MENU select CONNECT TO
PC.
OR
• Remote Unit: Press the Power key to turn on the unit. When the Tx1 Active LED is flashing,
press and hold the Power key again (for about 4 seconds) until the Ready LED is on.
5 From the WinTest 400 Setup menu select Install New T400 Software
6 From the Open menu browse and select the file containing the new Main (or Remote) Unit software,
then click OPEN. WinTest 400 will establish connection with the Main (or Remote) Unit and begin
software installation.
NOTE:
Do not disconnect the serial cable or depower your TURBOTEST 400 units or PC until software
installation is done.
