7.3. EXTENSION OF ARRAY.
Expansion array is to insert a disc into the free bay, which must be the same as the others. The rest of
the configuration is performed using, MegaRAID Storage Manager. In the "phisical"
right - click, select mouse on the "LSI SAS RAID Controller Mega" and select "Scan Foreign
Configuration" then you need to clear the configuration by choosing Clear Configuration so that you
can add additional drives to "RAID Group".
We then modify the RAID group by selecting the right mouse button on the "Drives Group"
and confirm the message. Then select "Modify Drive Group" When you select RAID 5
RAID reconstruction, we can make an additional disk group or disks to RAID 5. The process takes
from several to tens of hours.
ATTENTION !!! Expansion of additional disk arrays is also associated with a significant
decrease in the efficiency of the array.
