STARTING THE DEVICE
7. RS-485
The DVR can be controlled remotely by an external device or control
system, such as a control keyboard (NV-KBD30, NV-KBD70), using
RS485 half-duplex serial communications signals. The RS485 connector
can also be used to control PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras or text-in devices.
Connect RX+/TX+ and RX-/ TX- of the control system to the + and –
connectors of the DVR respectively.

RS-232 PORT
Allows to connect modems for remote video preview, connecting ex t ern al
keyboards (optional) or devices generating the ASCII codes that provide
additional information (cash registers, ATMs). Only one of the devices may
be connected at once. If transmission standard of connected d e v i c e
i s
different than RS-232, you need to use additional device (e.g. such as
NVRS-001RSC) to change standard transmission from RS-485 to
RS-232.
Attention: Cable for connecting to RS-232 port is not included in the set. Please make sure that the
cable possessed is appropriate. (DB9S female connector).
