INSTRUCTION MANUAL
8.5 HOSES
Check hoses for excessive wear and replace if they show cracks. Check hose clamps for
tightness and tighten if found loose.
8.6 ROTOR SEALS
There are rotor seals at the top and the bottom of the rotor. These Teflon faced silicon
seals separate the process from the reactivation purge compartments. The seal
compression is factory set and is determined by (3) or (4) spring loaded tie rods. The
upper seal should be compressed only slightly, to about 1/32” to 1/16” max (1 to 2 mm).
Normally they do not require service or replacement. However, should damage occur, or
if leakage is suspected of causing poor performance, the seal should be replaced.
If there is any question about adjusting the seals, please contact our service department.
8.6 CHAIN AND SPROCKETS
Chain and sprockets also require no further maintenance.
They should be lubricated once every 6 months.
8.7 DESICCANT ROTOR
The state-of-the-art desiccant rotor supplied with the NW series dryer will last very long
under ideal conditions. Due to the nature of desiccant and honeycomb matrix they make
very good filters. The life of desiccant is directly related to the air born contaminates passed
through it. Avoid exposure to acidic gases or unusual amounts of dust. Although the
desiccant rotor is considered a cleanable/washable media, the preferred method of
cleaning is to blow dust out with low pressure compressed air and to reactivate the rotor at
