To use the directed netboot feature:
1.
At the command line prompt, enter the
ifconfig
command provided to you
by your network administrator and press the Return key.
The following is a sample command:
ifconfig com1 9.0.0.2 255.0.0.0 9.0.0.3
For more information about the

command, see “Using the ifconfig
Command” on page A-2.
2.
Enter the
bconfig
commands provided by your network administrator
and press the Return key.
You must enter one
bconfig
command to specify the location of the software
image, and another to specify the location of the configuration file.
The following are sample commands:
bconfig image network 192.32.5.8 /usr/arnstartup/arn.exe
bconfig config network 192.32.5.8 /usr/arnstartup/config

3.
Type the following command
and press the Return key to verify the
configuration you specified in Step 3:
getcfg
The get configuration data command
getcfg
shows the location of the boot
image file and network configuration file, the interface configuration settings
that you specified using the
ifconfig
command, as well as the TFTP server
information and file paths that you specified using the
bconfig
commands.

Figure 2-1
