Configuring DNS on CallPilot 100/150

Start CallPilot Manager.

Click the 

Configuration

 heading.

Click the 

Unit Address/Identification

 link.

The Unit Address and Identification page appears.

In the 

Host name or IP Address

 box enter your CallPilot’s Host name.

It must be a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN.)

In the 

Primary DNS

 box enter the IP address of the external DNS server.

In the 

Secondary DNS

 box enter the IP address of secondary DNS server if you use one.

Click the 

Submit

 button.

You must reboot CallPilot for the new settings to take effect.

Warning: 

The FQDN must be in the same subnet that is specified by the Subnet 

Mask and the Default Gateway IP address. If you enter an FQDN that is not in the 
same subnet, you can cause the CallPilot to continuously reboot. To correct this 
problem, use the serial interface to change the IP address of the CallPilot. For more 
information, refer to “Changing the IP address using a serial cable” in the 

CallPilot
