HOW TO REALIGN THE WEIGHT PLATES
If the locks in the base get out of sync with the locks
in the handles, then the weight plates can become
misaligned and fall off the handles.
IMPORTANT: To prevent this from happening, do
not remove the handles from the base while the
display is flashing red and the weight is being
adjusted. If the handles are removed while the
weight is being adjusted, the weight plates will
become misaligned and will have to be realigned
manually as described below.
To realign the weight plates with the locks in the base
and the locks in the handles, follow the steps below.
1.
Lift a handle (A) off the base (not shown). Turn the
handle upside down and set it on a flat surface.
Then, use a long standard screwdriver to press on
the levers (B) and slide the locks (C) toward the
center of the handle until they stop (only one side is
shown).
2.
See the drawing above.
Remove all of the weight
plates (D, E) from the handle (A).
Repeat steps 1
and 2 for the other handle.
3.
Note the location of the locks (F) in the base (G).
Slide the locks (C) in each handle (A) to match the
location of the locks in the base.
4.
Set both handles in the base. Turn the adjustment
dial to the 5-pound setting. The locks in the base
and the locks in the handles will then move to the
correct location for the 5-pound setting. Then,
remove the handles from the base.
5.
Insert the flat-sided outer weight plates (E) into the
base (G). Next, insert the remaining loose weight
plates (D) into the base. Then, set the handles (A)
in the base. The weight plates are now aligned.
