Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the treadmill.

If there are sheets of plastic

on the treadmill decals, remove the plastic. To protect the floor or carpet, place a mat under the treadmill.

Note: Extra hardware may be included. Keep the included hex keys in a secure place; one of the hex keys is

used to adjust the walking belt (see pages 27 and 28).

13. Turn on the power (see page 16). Next, adjust

the incline to the lowest position (see step 4 on

page 17). Then, remove the key from the con-

sole, switch the reset/off circuit breaker to the

“off” position, and unplug the power cord.

Raise the Frame (55) to the position shown.

Have a second person hold the Frame until

step 14 is completed.

Orient the Storage Latch (51) so that the large

barrel and the latch knob are in the positions

shown.

Remove the tie from the upper end of the

Storage Latch (51). Attach the upper end of the

Storage Latch to the Frame (55) with a 3/8" x

1 3/4" Patch Bolt (6).

14. Remove the tie from the lower end of the

Storage Latch (51). Keep the holes in the latch

cap aligned with the holes in the Storage Latch.

Make sure to keep the latch cap inside the

Storage Latch.

Attach the Storage Latch to the

Base (94) with a 3/8" x 2" Bolt (3) and a 3/8" Nut

(10). Note: It may be necessary to move the

Frame (55) back and forth to align the Storage

Latch with the Base.

Lower the Frame (55) (see HOW TO LOWER

THE TREADMILL FOR USE on page 25).

HOW TO USE THE MAINTENANCE MODE

The console features a maintenance mode that allows

you to calibrate the incline and speed of the treadmill,

restore factory defaults, calibrate the screen, update

the console software, and view technical information.

1. Select the settings mode.

See step 1 on page 22.

2. Select the maintenance mode.

Press the Maintenance

button in the lower right

corner of the screen to

enter the maintenance

mode.

3. Calibrate the incline system of the treadmill.

Press the Calibrate Incline button. The treadmill

will automatically rise to the maximum incline level,

lower to the minimum incline level, and then return

to the starting position. This will calibrate the in-

cline system. Press the Begin button to calibrate

the incline system, or Press the Cancel button to

return to the maintenance mode. When the incline

system is calibrated, press the Back button.

IMPORTANT: Keep pets, feet, and other objects

away from the treadmill while the incline sys-

tem is calibrating. In an emergency situation,

pull the key from the console to stop the cali-

bration.

4. Restore factory defaults.

If necessary, press the Restore Defaults button to

reset the firmware to the original factory firmware.

This will erase all firmware updates that you have

downloaded. Press the Begin button to restore the

default firmware, or press the Cancel button to re-

turn to the maintenance mode.

When the restoration is complete, the words

PLEASE CYCLE POWER will appear in the grey

box. Switch the reset/off circuit breaker to the off

position, wait for several seconds, and then switch

the circuit breaker to the reset position. It may take

a minute for the console to be ready for use.

5. Calibrate the screen.

If the screen is not properly calibrated, it will be dif-

ficult for you to press the buttons on the screen. To

calibrate the screen, press the Calibrate Screen

button and then press the Begin button. Press the

Cancel button to return to the maintenance mode.

Using pencil eraser or other small object, press the

center of the small target on the screen. Then,

press the next two targets.

6. Calibrate the speed of the treadmill.

Calibrate the speed of the treadmill only if in-

structed to do so by an authorized service repre-

sentative.

Note: The Calibrate Speed button may not be en-

abled on your treadmill.

7. Update the console firmware.

For the best results, regularly check for

firmware updates.

Press the Firmware Update button. Press the

Begin button to check for updates, or press the

Cancel button to return to the maintenance mode.

A status bar will appear in the grey box on the

screen. When the update is complete, the words

PLEASE CYCLE POWER will appear in the grey

box. Switch the reset/off circuit breaker to the off

position, wait for several seconds, and then switch

the circuit breaker to the reset position. It may take

a minute for the console to be ready for use.

8. View technical information.

Press the Technical Info button to view the total

number of hours that the treadmill has been used

and the total number of miles that the walking belt

has moved. Press the Finish button when you are

done viewing the information.

9. Exit the maintenance mode.

To exit the maintenance mode, press the Back but-

ton repeatedly.
