Commissioning and operation
8 t wood splitter
Once the splitting column is back in its starting position:
›
Remove the split wood from the splitting table.
›
Before starting the next splitting process, clean the splitting table to
remove wood residues and chips if necessary.
Once operation is complete:
›
Switch the motor off.
›
Close the tank cap on the oil tank fully again, in order to prevent an
unnecessary loss of oil during transport.
Setting split length
The wood splitter is set to its maximum split length at the time of
delivery. When the motor is switched on, the splitting column
automatically moves upwards from the transport position to the
maximum stroke height.
To split wood that has a height significantly below the full stroke of
the wood splitter, you can reduce the stroke. The stroke height can be
steplessly adjusted.
To reduce the stroke height of the riving knife, it is necessary to proceed
as follows:

Drive the splitting column to the desired height and switch the
motor off. The actuation arms must remain pressed at this time, so
that the splitting column cannot travel any further upwards.

Now undo the star grip screw on the handle (behind the splitting
column) and draw the switching rod as far out as possible.
The further the switching rod is drawn out, the lower the splitting
height.
›
Clamp the switching rod at the desired height with the star grip
screw. To do so, firmly tighten the star grip screw.
›
Switch the wood splitter on again.
The splitting column can now no longer be driven out to its
maximum length because it is limited by the switching rod.
To set the maximum split length:
›
Press and hold an actuation arm.
›
Loosen the star grip screw.
