8.3 Hydraulic Plumbing
From this point on in the installation the booms will be inoperative until the
hydraulics are fully installed.
Ensure there are no other orifices present between the NORAC valve block
and the boom cylinders.
1. After the NORAC valves are mounted, the hydraulic hoses and fittings can be plumbed. The
plumbing for the hydraulic circuit is shown schematically in
Figure 3 .
Do NOT remove the fittings installed in the NORAC valve block. Any
adapting required must be done after these components.
2. Remove the sprayer’s boom raise lines from the cylinders and valve block.
The raise lines are located on the rod end of the cylinder.
3. Use the 8MBP plug (F09) to cap the sprayer’s valve block where the two hoses were
removed.
4. Use hoses H08 and H06 to connect the raise side of the cylinders to the NORAC valve
block “B” ports.
5. Insert the 8MB 6MOR fittings (F04) into the spare pressure (“P”) and tank (“T”) ports on
the Nitro valve block.
6. Connect the two remaining hoses (H04) to the “P” and “T” ports on the NORAC valve
block (V01). Connect the other end of hoses H04 to the fittings (F04) on the “P” and “T”
ports on the Nitro valve block.
If the sprayer does not have wing accumulators then steps 7 to 9 can be
ignored.
7. Remove the 8MB 8MOR fitting from the bottom of the wing accumulators.
8. Insert the 8FORX 6MOR adapter (F05) into the accumulators.
9. Connect the 8MOR 6FOR adapters (F07) to the bottom of fitting F05, with the inline orifice
(F06) between the two fittings. The inline orifice is the disc orifice with an o-ring groove on
one side and an o-ring (F13) on the other side.
