5. Observe the shape of the brush patterns. If

the brush patterns have parallel sides, the

brushes do not need adjustment.

If one, or both of the brush patterns are

tapered, the brushes need adjustment to

straighten the brush pattern.

A. To adjust brush taper, push downward

on the mounting spring and idler door

until the top of the door releases from

the scrub head. Pull the bottom of the

door outward, then pull the idler door

and idler plug off the brush.

B. While holding the flat end of the idler

shaft with a wrench, loosen the

mounting screw on the outside of the

idler door.
