Adjusting'Solar'Panel'Angle'for'Location'and'Time'of'Year'

1.!!Use!the!levers!on!the!back!of!the!stand!to!adjust!solar!
array!tilt!angle!to!0°,!30°,!or!45°!(figure!18).!Use!of!an!
appropriate!tilt!angle!will!maximize!solar!energy!
capture!depending!on!latitude,!time!of!year,!and!local!
topography!as!described!in!Solar!Energy!Basics!
section.!

The!angle!of!the!solar!panels!relative!to!the!sun!can!be!adjusted!using!the!5!adjusting!levers!on!the!
back!of!the!solar!array!stand.!

Flip!the!levers!down!for!45°!angle!(see!figure!19).!

Flip!the!levers!up!for!30°!angle!(see!figure!19).!
•
! Lay!the!solar!panels!and!rollable!stand!assembly!flat!on!the!ground!for!0°!angle.!

! When!adjusting!the!angle!of!the!solar!panels,!it!may!be!necessary!to!adjust!the!position!of!the!stand,!
which!may!require!moving!sandbags!and!stakes.!
