5.3 After Operation
5.3.1 Cleaning and Check of Guide Bar
Remove the guide bar from the pole
pruner.
Refer to "3.1 Installation and Removal
of Saw Chain Guide Bar."
Remove the chips , dust, etc.
accumulated in the hole of the chain oil
with a thin bar.
Remove the chips, dust, etc.
accumulated in the guide (groove) [1]
of the guide bar with the bar cleaner
(separately sold.)
Check the side face of the guide bar for
burrs, etc.
Note
● If any, remove it with a plain file (separately
sold.)
Check the part near the nose or tail for any wear or damage and make sure that
the nose sprocket rotates smoothly.
Note
● If it is worn or excessively damaged, replace the guide bar.
● Periodically set the guide bar in the opposite way in the vertical direction to reduce the wear
amount of the part near the nose.
