Notes on AE/AF Lock Button Setting
• When the scene mode is Scene auto selector , AF-L (focus locking) using the

(AE-L/AF-L)
button is disabled. When the scene mode is Fireworks show , the
g
(AE-L/AF-L) button cannot
be used.
• AE-L (exposure locking) cannot be used when the shooting mode is set to
D
.
• AF-L (focus locking) cannot be used when focus mode (

62) is set to
E
(manual focus).

AE/AF lock
(default setting) Lock both the focus and exposure while the

button is pressed.
AE lock only Lock only the exposure while the
g
(AE-L/AF-L) button is pressed.
AE lock (Hold)
Lock the exposure when the
g
(AE-L/AF-L) button is pressed and
retain this exposure setting. To cancel the setting, press the button
again.
AF lock only Lock only the focus while the
g
(AE-L/AF-L) button is pressed.
