7 USE OF THE SELF-CLEANING FILTER
The self-cleaning filter is intended exclusively for the filtration of the achieved juice after the pressing.
7.1 JUICE FILTRATION
The filtration process begins when the achieved juice is introduced into the self-cleaning filter through
the pump inlet.
-
First connect the tube coming from the sink where the juice is collected to the
pump inlet
.
-
Connect another tube to the
outlet
of the filter and put it in its final destination (usually a juice tank).
-
Once the self-cleaning filter is enabled (
see section 6.1 for a description of the procedure
), select the desired
function mode (manual or automatic).
-
Open the green
venting valve
located at the top of the vacuum gauge (
see section 7.1.1 for more
information
) to release any pressure or vacuum built up in the gauge.
It is forbidden to use the machine for any other purpose.
Before starting the filtration process make sure the tubes are properly fitted and all the valves are
open for a correct flow.
Manual mode
- In manual mode the pump and self-cleaning system can be used separately.
- The manual mode can be selected by turning the
mode switch
to the left; to the position marked with a
»
G
«
.
- In this mode, the user can use the pump only when desired and the time required without turning the self-
cleaning system on. Keep in mind that if the use of the self-cleaning system is required, it has to be turned on
separately by turning the
filter switch
to
»
1
«
position.
- To disable the manual mode, simply turn the
mode switch
to the
»0«
position and the pump will stop. In the
same way, to disable the self-cleaning system the
filter switch
has to be turned to
»0«
position, otherwise it
will continue working non-stop.
Automatic mode
- The automatic mode can be selected by turning the
mode switch
to the right; to the position marked with a
»
!
«
.
- This mode automatically activates the pump and the self-cleaning system at the same time (without turning
them on separately).
- Usually this mode is used when the self-cleaning filter is connected to a container/sink with a level switch,
which toggles its operation automatically once the container has been filled or emptied.
- To disable the automatic mode, simply turn the
mode switch
to
»0«
position (both the pump and the self-
cleaning system will stop).
