CAGE WEIGH SYSTEM
4.5.1 LOAD
CELL
VERSION
The Niftylift HR21 Hybrid is fitted with an electronic load cell. This load cell is a moment-independent,
redundant design. This means that independent of the load position inside the cage of the machine, the
actual load is measured and if pre-configured limit values are exceeded, warnings will be activated.
“Redundant design” means that the load cell design incorporates dual channels that monitor each
other. The design of the unit meets the requirements of both EN280 and EN954-1 class III.
4.5.2 FUNCTION
The machine informs the operator, via the load cell output, of the current state of the machine with
regard to cage load. There are three output lamps:
green
,
amber
and
red
. The three lamps for the load
cell are located on the cage control panel (see section 4.3.1). These lamps can be interpreted as
follows:

4.5.3
CALIBRATION, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE
Calibration, maintenance and repair of the Niftylift HR21 Hybrid cage load cell requires specialist
knowledge and equipment.
For this reason, no part of the Niftylift HR21 Hybrid cage-weigh
system can be adjusted, repaired or inspected by the operator.
All enquiries relating to calibration, inspection or maintenance should be directed to Niftylift or one of
Niftylift’s approved dealers. Contact details are listed in Section 1.4
