Corresponding Log Message 

If Validator determines that the PTS field is missing from the Nielsen ID3 DATA tag PES 
header, it logs this error message: 

-67: Missing PTS in Nielsen PES header. 

Example 

The example below shows that Validator found no PTS fields were missing from any 
DATA-tag PES headers. The test passed because Validator allows up to 16 missing PTS 
fields.

Meaning 

Each Nielsen metadata PES packet header must have a stream ID of 0xBD and it must 
include a non-zero PES packet size, as specified in the document “Timed Metadata for 
HTTP Live Streaming.” See “Related Documents” on page 7. 

Corresponding Log Message 

If the PES packet stream ID is incorrectly set or if the PES packet size of a Nielsen ID3 
PES packet is set to 0, one of the following error messages is logged: 

-3:  Warning: PES header not valid for ID3 Tag Metadata Packet 
-3:  Warning: PES packet length is set to 0! 

Example 

The example below shows Validator found no PES header errors. The test passed 
because Validator allows up to five errors.
