•
System Version:
uniquely identify the current release of your software. Express the
version number in any format that you choose, as long as the setting has a one-to-
one relationship to your current system version number.
•
SDK Version:
set by PCM-to-ID3 SDK.
•
Distributor ID:
Ensure this field is configurable
so that your client (a broadcast or cable
facility, for example) can set it when the device is installed.
Test Results
Important
A test result of “No status” indicates that a test was not performed. It does
not
indicate that
the test failed. Likewise, a setting of “Warn” should prompt you to look closely at the log file for
error messages, but it is not an indication that the test failed.
Test 1 Result: DATA Tag Count
Format
Format

Minimum Required
Minimum required to pass the test

Meaning
Ideally, DATA tags arrive at 10-second intervals. In the presence of many watermarks,
however, the tags may arrive more frequently. If this test fails, the stream may contain too
few DATA tags.
Example
The example below shows Validator found 310 DATA tags in the stream. The test passed
because Validator must find at least 237 DATA tags in the stream.
ID3 Tag: DATA Tag Count: Pass <310/237/0>
Possible Causes of Failure
The audio stream fed to the PCM-to-ID3 SDK contained fewer watermarks than expected
because of one or more of the following factors:
•
The audio is silent.
•
The audio is difficult to encode.
•
Segments of un-watermarked audio were spliced into the original watermarked
content.
