3.2.2. Installing a HDD Module

Prerequisite:

Remove the hard disk assembly. See Section 3.3.1, “Removing a HDD Assembly”.

To support a SATA HDD, an interposer card assembly is required to be installed on the HDD tray.

The instructions are provided hereafter.

1. Align the screw hole on interposer card with the screw hole on card assembly bracket.

2. Install the interposer card into the card assembly bracket, guiding the connector on card to the

slot on bracket.

3. Install and secure the screw to the interposer card.

4. Align the screw holes on HDD module with the screw holes on HDD assembly tray, connectors

facing outwards.

5. Install the HDD module into the HDD assembly.

6. Install and secure the screw(s) to the HDD assembly.

7. Connect the interposer card assembly to the HDD module
