Installing Internal Components

3.2.1

CPU Installation Procedure

To install the CPU, you will need to separate the heatsink and the motherboard.

Remove the screws indicated in

blue

to separate the motherboard from the heatsink. If

your system already has a CPU installed, you will also need to remove screws in

locations indicated in

red

Gently separate the motherboard from the heatsink, you’ll see the CPU socket protective

cover, place finger tips underneath the sign “REMOVE” for leverage and gently lift the

cover.

WARNING

With the protective cover removed, please be careful when handling the motherboard.

DO NOT touch the pins in the LGA socket!
