2.6 Expansion Cassette for GPU
Neousys’ patented expansion Cassette
(R.O.C. Patent No. M456527)
is an innovation design
for fanless controller. By providing a separated compartment to accommodate add-on card,
it’s more effective to manage the thermal conditions of both the system and the add-on card.
The modular concept brought by Cassette also reduces the complexity of installing and
replacing an add-on card in the fanless controller.
Based on this patented Cassette, Nuvo-5095GC series further incorporates an innovative
mechanical design to effectively deal with the heat generated by GPU. This patented
architecture (R.O.C. Patent No. M534371) creates a sealed tunnel to bring cold air to the
GPU and exhaust hot air by system fan, and makes Nuvo-5095GC extremely reliable when
operating at at 60°C with 100% GPU loading.
The expansion Cassette of Nuvo-5095GC series accepts graphics cards of dual-slot width
with up to 75W TDP. Currently nVidia GTX 950 and GTX 1050 are the recommended GPU
models for Nuvo-5095GC series. For information of selecting and installing nVidia GTX
950/1050, please refer to section 3.7.
