Protection Operation description
Faulty functioning
To avoid damages to the charger and battery, the charger immediately disconnects
its own electronic system and will reset the system to basic settings in case of the
following:
• short circuit
• incorrect connection
•
open circuit
• reversed connection polarity
•
Battery voltage below 1.5 V±0.2 V
The charger will remain at standby mode and the display will show error indication.
Overheating The charger is protected by NTC component (Negative Temperature Coefficient) to
prevent itself from damage.
When the charger gets too hot during charging or due to excessive ambient
temperature, the output power is automatically limited.
The charger maintains trickle charging and automatically increases output power
after cooling down.
MCU control Full control with internal microcontroller unit (MCU) guarantees faster, stronger,
reliable and smart charging.
Sparking To eliminate possibility of sparking, the charger does not start operation when the
battery is connected until charging mode is selected.
The casing is dust and splashproof (IP65) and is double insulated.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
CAUTION! Unplug the power cord from mains socket before commencing any activities related to
installation, adjustment, repair or maintenance.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
•
Do not use water or any other liquid for cleaning.
• Clean the device with a dry cloth or blow through with compressed air at low pressure.
•
Do not use any cleaning agents or solvents, they may damage plastic parts.
• In case of power cord damage replace it with a cord with the same specification. Entrust the repair to a
qualified specialist or return the tool to a service point.
•
Always store the tool in a dry place, beyond reach of children.
• Clean the clamps after each use. Prevent corrosion and wipe any leaked substances from battery that may
have had contact with clamps and terminals.
• Carefully wind cables for device storage. It will prevent accidental damages to the cables and the device.
CAUTION! All defects should be repaired by service workshop authorized by the manufacturer.
