From the steepness ratio decided in
⑤
and the Counter value required in
③
,
the setting value for “mst”can be decided. Several examples are provided
below:
(Ratio=2, Exposure Counter=90
)
90/(2
+
1)
=
30
→
Send “mst 0,0,30”
(
Ratio=5, Exposure Counter=90
)
90/(5
+
1)
=
15
→
Send “mst 0,0,15”
(
Ratio=10, Exposure Counter=90
)
90/(10
+
1)
=
8.18
→
Send “mst 0,0,9”
⑦
Change the camera exposure mode to “Multi Slope” or “Ext Multi” (send “inm
3” or “inm 4”)
⑧
By adjusting “msl”, you can lower the data level of the bright area to the
desired level without affecting the dark area.
For reference, the “msl” values and the points at which the slope changes are
plotted below.
e.g. To have the slope change at 150 in 8-bit data, send the command
“msl 0,0,10”.
To have the slope change at the same 150 level when analog gain is set
to x2, 150/2=75; therefore in the above graph, the msl setting value
should be closest to 75, ie 13. That is, send the command “msl 0,0,13”.
3 slopes & 4 slopes are set in the same way.
