The NEC Versa 550 Series also comes with DOS/Windows PCMCIA drivers for support-
ing various PCMCIA cards like modem cards, network cards.

DC-IN Connector Jack
To the left of the PCMCIA compartment, you will find a connector jack where you plug in
the AC adapter of the notebook. The NEC Versa 550 series provides a universal auto-
switching AC adapter where you connect the AC power cord and into the power outlet. It
is important to have the AC adapter connected to the notebook to recharge the battery and
keep the notebook working continuously.
NOTE: Use only the AC adapter model that
comes with the NEC Versa 550 notebook.
