9-22  Upgrading Your Server

Hot-Swap Power Supply Unit

Install or remove a hot-swap power supply unit in the following procedure.

Installation

Take the following steps to install the hot-swap power supply unit.

 

1. 

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.

 

2. 

Remove the left side cover.

 

3. 

Remove a setscrew from the bracket, and remove a bracket.

IMPORTANT:

 Keep the removed bracket for future use.
