Press 7 ( Settings ) on the Messages screen and the
following menus are available
To create and send a new message

Press 1 ( New SMS ) or SK2 ( NEW ) on the Messages
screen, and follow the steps below:
1 Select the addressee field on the New message
screen and press the Enter key to display the
address list screen.
• Press the Enter key to put the addresses, or
choose Options to select Open Contacts for
entering the phone numbers from the Contacts .
(Up to 5 addresses are available for entries.)
2 Select the text entry field to enter the message and
press the Enter key.
3 Press the SK1 (SEND) to send the message.
The message is sent and saved in the Sent folder.

To set the addressee from the contact entries;
Press the
SK2 ( FIND ) on the addressee entry box and
select the addressee's phone number.

To save an unfinished and unsent message;
Press the
SK2 ( SAVE ). The message is saved in Draft .
To read a message

2 ( Messages ) and select 2 ( Inbox ). Follow the
steps below:
1 Select the message.
2 Press the
Enter key and the message contents are
displayed.

To filter the received messages by a condition;
Press
Options and select 7 ( Filter view ). the following
options are available: Show all , Read messages ,
Unread messages , USIM card, Handset memory ,
Send failed , Unsent .

To sort the messages;
Press
Options and select 6 ( Sort messages ). You can
use By date

(date ascending), By date
↓
(date
descending), By address
↑
(address ascending), By
address
↓
(address descending).

To move a message;
Select the message and press the
Options to select 3
( Move message ). Select the move destination (USIM
card memory is available.), and then press the Enter key.

report Sets to send the status report or not.
Request report and No report
request are available.
2 Validity
period Selects the period of time SMS is
stored on the server while trying to
deliver the SMS message.
3 SMS
centre Edits the SMS message centre
address. This address is saved in the
USIM card.
4 SMS over
GPRS Sets GPRS or GSM to transmit SMS.

1 Signature
setting Turns the automatic signature
insertion function on/off and edits the
signature.
2 Quote
indicator Edits the quoted reply mark.
3 View
1 Scrolling Selects the number of lines scrolled
when you press the
Up or Down key.
2 Font size Sets the font size ( Large , Medium ,
Small ).
4 CB settings

Broadcast message is a network-dependent
service. Please contact your local provider for
details.
1 Index
settings Sets up to 6 indexes for the CB
messages.
CB
language Selects the language for the CB
message.
5 Reset
settings Clears the settings set under
Settings .
