Privacy Release
Guard Timer Available
Software version 02.10.12 provides a guard timer that prevents an extension user from inadvert-
antly placing a Privacy Release Conference on Hold. When an extension user with privacy released
presses a line key to join a Conference, the system starts a 3 second guard timer. During this inter-
val, if the initial extension on the call presses their Hold key, they will drop out of the 3-party call.
This prevents an extension user, who is trying to extend a call to a co-worker, from inadvertantly
putting a Privacy Release Conference on Hold by pressing their Hold key.
Station Message Detail Recording
Call Duration Independent of System Clock
The duration of a call on the SMDR report is calculated independently of the system clock. This
prevents changes made to the system Time and Date from inaccurately reporting the call duration
after the Time and Date change. The automatic Daylight Savings Time adjustment also will no
longer affect the call duration.
SMDR Header Printed When Date Changes
When 0301-Print SMDR Header is enabled (Y), the SMDR header will print before the first call
record on each new day. In prior software versions, the SMDR header would only print at the top of
each page. It would not reprint for the first call record of each new day.
Tandem Trunking / Unsupervised Conference
Using Trunk-To-Trunk Transfer To Set Up A Tandem Call
An extension user can use the following steps to set up a tandem call via trunk-to-trunk Transfer:
1.
Place or answer a trunk call.
2.
Press
ICM
.
3.
Place a new trunk call.
4.
Hang up to set up a tandem call between the initial call and the new call.
This procedure is available if:
●
The new call in step 3 is an outgoing trunk call (not an incoming call or a call on Hold).
●
Either the initial call (in step 1) or the new call (in step 3) must have 1003-Tandem Trunk
enabled (Y).
●
The extension must have 0101-Unsupervised Conference enabled (Y). (This is not required
when the system is automatically routing an Off-Premise Call Forward.) Only enable this
option if you need Unsupervised Conference.
